I honestly can't believe that today is the last day of April!!!  Where on earth did that go?  My brain really can't comprehend that it is May tomorrow!!  I am going to try and blame this on the really late Easter that we had this year.  I have a feeling May is going to go just as quick especially with the bank holidays. Anyway... At the beginning of the year I started doing a 365 day photo challenge and I am pleased to say I have kept with it so far.  Generally this has been easy to accomplish, I did find it difficult when I was ill with the flu, because seriously who wants to be doing anything other than curling up under the duvet feeling sorry for yourself. but I did battle through. This year the wonderful Mr Bus and I have bought our first home together so we were not in the position to justify a holiday abroad.   Luckily the British weather was kind to us and the summer weather was amazing and beautiful.   We booked a lovely holiday down in Cornwall staying in our favourite place The Deep Green Lodge . Having stayed here last year I couldn't wait to return. Mike is a brilliant host and hopefully we will return in the future at a time when I can meet Lou as well.   Everything is spotlessly clean and there is a laid back relaxing atmosphere and eco-friendly products. The breakfast is delicious and you can have as much or as little as you want, it sets you up for the day and there is lovely fresh coffee and a range of herbal teas.   The rooms are gorgeous and the new decor very complimentary and fresh. Ok the amazing Chester weekend.   Mr Bus and I were considering what to do for our first anniversary and were very tempted to go to Edinburgh ; however, it was a bit pricey at current so we thought we would wait for a better deal.   We eventually decided on Chester and I think because I had raved so much about Chester Zoo to himself it was a must. We booked this absolutely stunning B&B called the Manderley Bed and Breakfast .   I would have to say it was one of the best bed and breakfasts I have ever stayed in.   It is very reasonably priced and books up very quickly as it’s of such a high standard.   We booked the Super King room as a nice treat for ourselves. We had an amazing stay and Karen and Richard couldn't do enough. What makes this B & B so spectacular are the personal touches. Last Friday there was still hope of Wales being in the final for the World Cup in the Rugby and the weather was warm enough to walk around in t-shirts. This Friday we’re in the 3rd place play offs for the Rugby World Cup and I had to scrape ice off my car this morning!!! What a difference a week can make. Anyway, back to last Friday. I took a flexi day leave (one thing the government hasn’t taken from us poor Public Sector workers yet) and spent it with my superb friend Ms James . We had a late morning start catching the train to Cardiff Bay where we took a little stroll around enjoying the sun and popping into some boutiques. We then decided to go for a cocktail before heading for our champagne cream tea. Ok, after spending a lot of time lately going through my box set of sex and the city which my wonderful boyfriend purchased for me, I have been inspired to blog. Now I claim to def not be any Carrie Bradshaw, but I do like to waffle. I had a delightful girls night in last night and watching a few episodes of the BBC's adaptation and in my opinion the one and only true version of Pride and Prejudice, with cocktails and delightful pink fizz, we obviously chatted about our own lives. This made me realise that I am really happy with my life at the moment and I can't really pick faults with it. Yes there are things I want but I am not in any rush to get them. Is this what happens when you approach 30, you become more settled and laid back? I had to save my friend from herself and in a delicate way tell her life is stressfull enough without adding to it and thinking your bed linen has to match the colour of your bedroom.
