April?

I honestly can't believe that today is the last day of April!!!  Where on earth did that go?  My brain really can't comprehend that it is May tomorrow!!  I am going to try and blame this on the really late Easter that we had this year.  I have a feeling May is going to go just as quick especially with the bank holidays. Anyway... At the beginning of the year I started doing a 365 day photo challenge and I am pleased to say I have kept with it so far.  Generally this has been easy to accomplish, I did find it difficult when I was ill with the flu, because seriously who wants to be doing anything other than curling up under the duvet feeling sorry for yourself. but I did battle through. Sun, Sea, Sand, Meteors and Cocktails

This year the wonderful Mr Bus and I have bought our first home together so we were not in the position to justify a holiday abroad.   Luckily the British weather was kind to us and the summer weather was amazing and beautiful.   We booked a lovely holiday down in Cornwall staying in our favourite place The Deep Green Lodge . The breakfast is delicious and you can have as much or as little as you want, it sets you up for the day and there is lovely fresh coffee and a range of herbal teas.   The rooms are gorgeous and the new decor very complimentary and fresh. This time we stayed in room 1 which was lovely with a view out to the rear of the property. This B&B although central to Newquay is in ...

Wild Wet Welsh Weekend

The other weekend saw me and my besties hit West Wales for a girls weekend. We were lucky enough to stay in my Auntie’s Caravan in New Quay. Friday we set off a little later than planned but didn’t care as this was meant to be a chilled out weekend where there was no stress. We stopped off to see a friend on the way and then we were back on the road. Whenever I drive up to New Quay I make the error of trusting the auto route rather than my own judgement (also I am a massive campaigner against sat navs). So we ended up getting a little lost around the wilds of West Wales until I got my bearings and some fab navigation from my besties. We arrived!! We settled in, got the central heating on, chose our bedrooms (luckily one each) and cracked open the wine. This was the start of things to come. We ended up watching a program on TV about Frank Sinatra whilst chatting and drinking. For some reason Engelbert Humperdinck came on the and I really can’t look at him, he mak...
