Cat Woman

All of my friends are now in a relationship of some sort and I am left the only sad single one, and to rub that in just a bit more my friend who is getting married has placed me on the singles table. Not that I mind entirely as I would do the same if I had sad single friends as its cheaper than asking them to bring a guest.

I firmly believe that I am going to be alone and become the nasty cat woman you hear so often about. I am also going to get myself a walking stick or otherwise known as a beating stick, with a sharp point on the end. This is so I can beat naughty children with and also if their footballs dare to come onto my land I will stab it with my stick, bwhahahahahahaaaaaaa. I think this is already coming into place as yesterday I told off one of the children in my street last night. I was driving home and got into my street, I was most annoyed as I had spent an hour on a coach for a 20min journey as the damn trains weren’t running again. Anyway, I drove down and some children were playing with the hose and sprayed my car, I was not impressed as my windows were down, but thought they had done it by accident, I turned my car round and came back up the street and they did it again and definitely on purpose. So I stopped my car, reversed and told him off, bless he looked scared and said sorry so I went on my way. Well they have to learn they can’t go about doing things like that, even though I probably would have done the same when I was younger.

28 Years Later

My word I can’t believe that 28 years ago this month I met my best friend.  Who would have thought it?  We have been together through thick and thin, there have been highs and lows but like any relationship you have to work at it. We can remember that our first argument was about the size of a killer whale, I think I said it was as big as a house.  Goodness knows.  Anyway, we have had some other disagreements since then but when it comes down to it we are still there for each other.  I think we also know when we need some space and so if we don’t hear off one another for a couple of days it’s not a big thing. Ms James is my best friend for many reasons.  I know she is always there, she is very good at advice although can do with listening to her own wise words now and again, but can’t we all.  Also she doesn’t judge.  I know I can tell her anything on this planet and she won’t judge me and be nothing but a friend. I love her quirk...

The Afternoon Teas Have Returned....Cheltenham

Hurrah, at long last the delightful afternoon teas have returned and it was kick started with a meet up with the Biffa's (self given name for my little group of lovely ladies).  We decided to meet up in Cheltenham as it's roughly half way between Bridgend and Stafford along with being a nice place. We decided to rendezvous at the Cheltenham park and ride.  I have to say one of my main priorities when visiting any where is that they have a decent easy to get to park and ride.  I mean, why battle with the inner town systems of somewhere you haven't a clue when you can just park up and jump on a bus which does the stressful bit for you. On arrival into the town we got our bearings by heading to the nearest decent looking pub and as we were driving the strongest thing we opted for was caffeine.  Still it gave us chance to have a natter, exchange some gifts and decide where we wanted to go and if anyone had anything in particular they wanted to get.     ...

A Year On

I tend to not like to blog too much about serious things, as it can all get a bit bogged down. However, I would like to reflect on the past year, and truly I must say that everything happens for a reason. My 30th year started in disaster with what was meant to be a lovely trip to Rome with my boyfriend at the time, which was on my list of places to visit since goodness knows when. Instead we got to Rome and I got dumped and found a person who I considered a friend was truly the opposite. Still we managed to make the best out of a bad situation and I still got to see the things I really wanted to see but obviously my heart wasn’t in it and I was reluctant to throw my euro into the Trevi fountain not particularly wanting to return at that point. The next few months passed in some what of a blur, but luckily I have amazing friends who were there for me and pulled me through. I kept myself busy and developed quite the social life for myself and so I was never left to mull in my ...
