Like to Graze?

Well, I have started to try and be healthier, mainly with making my portions smaller and doing some exercise. I now try and go for a run once a week (to start with) and my sister and I now attend Aquafit every Thursday.

The other evening when I went to one of my fantastic friend’s house I noticed these delicious looking healthy snacks on her table, brimming with flavour and healthy goodness. I just had to ask her about them. They come from a company called Graze, which is online. You can order boxes from them (a snack box or a nutrition box) which will be delivered straight to you either weekly or every other week, for a small cost (cheaper than buying it all from a supermarket for sure). The box is small enough to fit through your letter box as well, so you don’t have to worry if you’re in or not. Also you can tell them when you’re going to be on holiday so they won’t send you a box during that time.

These boxes are filled to the brim with goodness, and contain things like nuts, seeds, olives, focaccia bread and flapjacks. Some even come with a little bit of chocolate in. You get four different punnets. This week I had West Country cheddar, red onion and chutney focaccia, funky gibbon (containing banana coins, cashew nuts, milk chocolate covered puffed rice), tom yum yum (containing thai spicy rice cracker mix) and orange and ginger flapjacks. I have eaten the focaccia bread already. On opening the punnet the aroma floated up to greet my nostrils and what a delight it was. I soon had to gobble it all up, and the taste was sublime.

The brilliance behind this also lets you exclude any ingredients or mixes you don’t like by rating them all on their website. I don’t like almonds so I have asked them not to send me anything with almonds in. How brilliant, you’re never going to receive something you don’t like. Or if you’re not sure about one you can just select try and then rate it later on whether you like it or not.

Graze state that the boxes are balanced to give you loads of essential nutrients from a variety of natural foods. And by grazing you will enjoy more energy thanks to stable blood sugar.

For a limited period you can get your first box for free through me by going to their website Graze and entering the following code: P856LP7T

28 Years Later

My word I can’t believe that 28 years ago this month I met my best friend.  Who would have thought it?  We have been together through thick and thin, there have been highs and lows but like any relationship you have to work at it. We can remember that our first argument was about the size of a killer whale, I think I said it was as big as a house.  Goodness knows.  Anyway, we have had some other disagreements since then but when it comes down to it we are still there for each other.  I think we also know when we need some space and so if we don’t hear off one another for a couple of days it’s not a big thing. Ms James is my best friend for many reasons.  I know she is always there, she is very good at advice although can do with listening to her own wise words now and again, but can’t we all.  Also she doesn’t judge.  I know I can tell her anything on this planet and she won’t judge me and be nothing but a friend. I love her quirk...

Dreams

Aren ’t dreams weird? I had the most bizarre one yesterday whilst dozing. I dreamt that I was a Chinese MAN of all things, and I was running my own Chinese restaurant. Then a door swung open showing what looked like the yard behind the Chinese with two big skip bins. By the side of the bins were two men, I somehow had a gun in my hand and shot the two guys and then door swung shut and I carried on running the restaurant as if nothing had happened. I have no idea what this means at all. The shooting I can imagine is from the fact that his nibs was playing a computer game at the time where he was a hit man, but the whole Chinese thing, I have no idea. I am definitely one for crazy dreams though. When I was younger, about 5 or 6 I had a dream I was in school and everyone apart from me had one normal leg and one pig’s leg. I was trying to get out of the school playground but there were people everywhere with a pig’s leg. Even my best friend at the time appeared and asked why I did...

Forging Futures

Looking back on my past posts and the most popular one seems to be the one where I talk about people having some kind of life check list of things that they should be doing etc.  Well what can we say about that?  Everyone seems to feel the pressure of life.  I would say modern life but that wouldn't be correct, I think these types of pressure have been there since the beginning, like "Keeping up with the Jones'".   A term I also find highly amusing as my sister and her family are the Jones' and I would be exhausted and bankrupt if I tried keeping up with them considering we only really have one proper income coming into our house. Anyway remember like a wise woman once told me "Comparison is the Death of Joy".  People should concentrate on living and enjoying their own lives otherwise they're going to miss out on what is truely in front of them. I think women have an extraordinary amount of pressure put upon them.  From keeping a perfect home (st...
